I love entrepreneurship, deal making, fund raising, strategy, and the dynamism of the Chinese market, and, yes, for those that know me also the latest in tech gadgetry.
I have spent the past 16 years as an entrepreneur serving large enterprises and businesses with application software and web services offerings. Currently, I am the Managing Partner & Co-founder of Pacific Springboard, which partners with emerging US-based brands in the health & wellness and lifestyle & entertainment markets to bring them into China via our extensive partner and technology platform. I am also Co-founder & Board Member of Appconomy, which has a powerful indoor location software platform for powering mobile applications for retail, hospitality, and other services. Prior to Appconomy, I was co-founder of Moxie Software, where I served as Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to Moxie Software, I was co-founder, President & CEO of Kalivo, Inc., a leading Enterprise 2.0 Commercial Software-as-a-Service provider, where we provided solutions that enabled companies to engage directly with their customers across the Web. Kalivo was sold to Moxie Software.
I was also the co-founder and CEO of iMark.com, a business-to-business web marketplace for trading surplus goods that was sold to then publicly-traded FreeMarkets (currently Ariba, NASDAQ: ARBA) in March 2000 for $340 million. My team at iMark and I were finalists for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in Austin, TX in 2000.
Currently, I also serve as a member of the Advisory Council for Entrepreneurship@Cornell, Cornell University’s university-wide entrepreneurship program. My educational background includes an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Engineering from Cornell University.
In addition to enjoying time with my family, my other personal interests include running, reading, anything to do with the web or electronic gadgets, and the New York Yankees, Buffalo Sabres and Dallas Cowboys.
